Official Description

Resident mode immerses players in a living and breathing city, where they take on the role of a resident and work to build and govern the city. Players have the opportunity to take on various roles such as a police officer, politician, or even a business owner.

Resident mode is a game mode that allows players to explore the world, interact with the community, environment, and NPCs at their own pace. In this mode, players can work jobs, attend classes and events, acquire daily XP, but are not required to engage in any specific tasks or quests to progress. Instead, they are free to roam the game world and discover all it has to offer on a neutral loop. Players will take on the role of a resident whether they are building, working, or managing.

Players in Resident mode do not have to worry about attacking or being attacked by other players, as this mode will remain relatively peaceful. Although not necessary for progression, players in this mode can earn items and assets by completing tasks and challenges. Resident mode will be a completely free-to-play mode for all users outside of our current community to experience, so there will be a comfortable balance of what they can see and expect versus what STORI Mode will bring.

Players will have the opportunity, if they choose, to shape Ascension City's infrastructure, economy, and society, from managing structures to enforcing laws and regulations. Residents can choose to work together to solve digital world problems such as urban planning, transportation, and sustainability, and the city will change and adapt to the collective player decisions.

Overall, Resident mode is designed for players who are more interested in exploring the multiverse and interacting with its inhabitants than engaging in combat or completing challenging quests. It provides a more relaxed and immersive gameplay for those who want to take their time and enjoy the game at their own pace.[1]
